Comparing N76E003 and N76S003: Seamless Replacement from N76E003 and Enhanced Efficiency

As one of the most popular 8051 microcontrollers, the N76E003 from Nuvoton Technology is now complemented by the N76S003, allowing for a seamless replacement.

Both models utilize the 1T 8051 core, operate at a frequency of 16 MHz, support a wide operating voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V, and feature high anti-interference capabilities with 7 kV ESD and 4 kV EFT ratings. They are also suitable for industrial control environments with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.

With the same 20-pin package, the N76S003 offers up to 18 I/O pins and is designed to be fully pin-to-pin compatible with the N76E003. This allows users to not only directly replace the hardware but also achieve a "Code to Code" design, enabling a painless transition of existing code to the new IC. Additionally, users can continue to use all existing Nuvoton tools without needing to learn new ones.

The main difference is that the new N76S003 provides more memory within the same package, enhancing processing efficiency. The Flash/SRAM capacity has been increased from 18KB/256+768 Bytes in the N76E003 to 18KB/256+1K Bytes in the N76S003.
