Does ADC (analog-to-digital converter) in the NuMicro® Family series support the recording function?  Issue Date:2015-09-09

The 12-bit or 10-bit ADC in the NuMicro® Family series is mainly used for sensor signal sampling and does not produce a good effect in recording. Nevertheless, the I²S interface and audio CODEC can be used to realize the recording function. The NUC505 series is equipped with 24-bit Audio CODEC to support high-quality audio recording function.

The following table lists the NuMicro® Family series that support I²S interface:

NuMicro® Family Series with I2S Interface

NUC100/120 Series

NUC130/140 Series

NUC123 Series

NUC200/220 Series

NUC230/240 Series

Nano100 Series

NUC442/472 Series

M4511 Series

NUC5052 Series

Note1: The SPI1 and SPI2 in the M451 series supports I²S mode.

Note2: The NUC505 series supports internal audio CODEC.

The following figure is an example showing the connection between an audio CODEC (WAU822) and the NUC100.
